In reply to someone who shared the challenges they faced in their childhood:
I lived a pretty sheltered life. I didn’t have nearly as many of the challenges you had growing up. But there’s something I envy about your story. Maybe it’s my messiah complex… that I’m a caretaker by nature. I wish I had someone to take care of while growing up. Someone to love and protect. It’s just so romantic dealing with and overcoming strife with someone you love more than life itself. It’s like a test of love, and commitment to each other. I wish I was able to express love and commitment to someone like that.
